I approach the therapeutic experience as a journey. YOUR journey. You are the expert on you. I may have expertise in mental health and what makes relationships work, but that doesn't make me an expert on you. My role as a psychotherapist is to help you make sense of your life, the way you feel and your experiences. Then we work within that context and understanding to create the change that you want.

About me

My name is Derek Colvin, aka The Giant Therapist. My nickname was given to me due to my height. I'm 6 feet 10 inches tall. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based out of Oklahoma City. I am also in the Gottman Certification Track to become a Gottman Certified Therapist.
